Wolfgang Pauli, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist and one of the founding minds behind quantum mechanics, was not only a brilliant scientist but also a seeker of meaning beyond equations. In the 1930s, during a personal crisis, he began working with the pioneering depth psychologist C.G.  Jung. This unusual collaboration became one of the most fascinating intersections between modern physics and analytical psychology. Their correspondence—rich with dreams, archetypes, and philosophical inquiry—reflected a shared passion for uncovering the deep structures of reality. While Pauli brought the rigor of quantum physics, Jung brought the symbolic language of the psyche. Together, they explored how the inner world of the psyche and the outer world of matter might be reflections of one unified reality. Tapping into one particular dream of Pauli,  after completing the Secret of the Golden Flower teaching series at the Jung Platform, Qi is keen to deepen the exploration by bringing in the Eastern lens to examine its intricate connection with Wolfgang Pauli’s dream. Together with Barbara, this workshop invites you to dive into the symbolic richness of Pauli’s dream and its profound resonance with Taoist alchemical teachings. Through guided symbolic reflection, personal dreamwork, and experiential practice, we’ll explore the union of opposites—spirit and matter, inner and outer—in a contemporary context.
